An increasingly well-known speaker Michelle Donelan is now a Cabinet member and Minister of
State for Higher & Further Education (including Universities) and was appointed Privy Councillor in
September 2021
Following a career in marketing Michelle was elected to Parliament as MP for Cheltenham in 2013
with a 47.6% majority which increased to 54.35% in 2019 election achieving a majority of 11,288
votes over the Liberal Democrats. Involved in Education since 2015 Michelle also co-chairs the
Family Justice Board.
