Cllr Andrew Leadbetter has represented the Wearside & Topsham division on Devon County Council since 1997, consistently standing up for local residents with dedication and experience. He was most recently re-elected on 1st May 2025.
Andrew currently serves as the Leader of the Conservative Group at Devon County Council. Andrew plays an active role in providing a strong Conservative voice in response to the current Liberal Democrat–Green coalition.
Over his many years of public service, Andrew has held senior roles including Cabinet Member for Economy, Growth and Cabinet Liaison for Exeter when the Conservatives were in administration at the County Council.
Beyond politics, Andrew has a professional background in business and is Chairman of Global Notice Board, a technology company focused on community engagement. He is also Vice Chairman of Devon Scouts, supporting opportunities for young people across the county.
Andrew is committed to working on behalf of all constituents in Wearside and Topsham, addressing local priorities and ensuring residents’ voices are heard at both county and city level.
